Few of these pieces have been exhibited. Like many artists, Dewantoro has to find a balance between created sellable works and simultaneously developing his skills as an artist and maintaining creativity. Creating can be expensive. Many of these works are done on cardboard boxes of cereal, spare paper and whatever he could get his hands on. Some pieces were exhibited in people’s houses and others not at all. It is in these pieces that one can witness the maturity and the development of ideas that has grown over the years.
